Here at Nexus Systems World, we love to build. Some of the most exciting things we create are worlds: places filled with stories, discovery and possibilities waiting to unfold.
One soul. Many worlds.
Those words also bring us back to the world we share, and to the children growing up in it.
Every child deserves opportunities to play, learn, feel safe and included, and look forward to something wonderful. Illness, financial hardship and abuse can place those everyday parts of childhood out of reach. Unequal access can add further barriers. None of those circumstances diminishes a child's dignity, individuality or worth.
The Little Stars Initiative gives this belief a place within Nexus Systems World. We draw attention to independent organisations working to support children through illness, address disadvantage and prevent child abuse. We share their official websites so anyone interested can learn about their work and explore ways to take part, in their own time.
By learning about their work, sharing their official resources or choosing to support them directly, we can each find a way to take part.

Starlight Children's Foundation Australia
Brings play, creativity and moments of joy to children and teenagers in hospital, helping them and their families take a break from illness and treatment.
Make-A-Wish Australia
Creates personalised wishes for children in Australia living with critical illness, giving them experiences to look forward to and memories to share.
Ronald McDonald House Australia
Helps families stay close to an ill or injured child's hospital care through accommodation, practical support, welcoming spaces and programs that support children's learning.
The Smith Family
Helps children and young people experiencing disadvantage overcome barriers to education through learning support, mentoring and access to essentials for school.
Act for Kids
Provides therapy, education and family support for children and families who have experienced abuse or neglect, or are at risk of harm.
Bravehearts
Works to prevent child sexual abuse through personal safety education and child protection training, and provides specialist counselling and support.
