In one recovered reality, a man married the woman he loved in a cemetery. Their vows reached beyond death. When she left, it felt as though she had taken his heart with her. The surviving transmission opens with a list of cemeteries already crossed out, then follows him through spectral figures and the fading traces of the woman he remembers. At last he reaches her, and keeps the promise they made when they wed.

But the real mystery remains: was he dead? Was she dead? Was their reunion a memory, another reality, or something the archive cannot explain? No one knows. What survives is a vow, and a record that refuses to settle the question.

Beneath a burning frontier sky, a solitary cowboy watches a red-winged blackbird cross the sun. The bird reappears above winding rivers, weathered fences and an isolated homestead. A woman's face lingers in the clouds as he takes to the trail. Then a luminous portal reveals impossible worlds beyond the desert. His journey brings him to a woman holding a child, and an embrace beneath the dying light. But what has he returned to: a home still waiting, a memory that refuses to fade, or another world where they can be together?
